Home Remedies: Blisters

Blisters are a big pain in the butt. Generally speaking, not literally. The thing with blisters is that the rule that usually goes with blisters is that they’re better off left alone. Don’t pop them, just let them be. The fluid in the blister is generally reabsorbed as it heals and it goes away on it’s own, if the cause of the blister is taken away.

The general care when it comes to a blister would be to make sure you keep it clean and dry as well as intact after it has formed. You can also use an ice pack to help reduce the inflammation.

The main problem with breaking a blister is infection. It is more likely to be infected if you pop it. If for any reason you do end up popping it though, make sure you do not remove the covering skin. That is natures form of bandaid, it keeps the sensitive skin underneath safe from infection.
