Planning A Family-Free Cruise

Planning a cruise that won’t be including any young kids or teens is very different from planning a cruise that’s going to be adults-only. The first of which: the adults probably don’t want to be stuck on a cruise ship filled with kids.

If you’re thinking of taking a cruise either by yourself, with a significant other, or with a couple other friends, you’ll want to look for the cruise that suits you. Are you looking for one that is adult-only? Since you’re going family-free, that’s a possibility. Check into the different companies and their specialties. Then narrow those down by what you’re looking for. Consider what will be offered on the cruise with what you want to do.

  • Is their a specific form of entertainment you’re looking to have offered to you while you’re on your cruise? Some examples would be golf, surfing, etc.
  • What style meal times are you looking for? Although a large amount of cruises make you set up the time that you go eat ahead of time, their are some that are very much freestyle so you can eat when you’d like.
  • Does a dress code go against what you want? Some cruises that are meant mostly for adults and a side effect of that is a dress code that they enforce on the people cruising with them. If you don’t like dress codes, make sure that the cruise you purchase doesn’t have one.

Be sure to keep in mind what you’re looking for from your cruise before you buy your spot on one. After all, you’re purchasing that vacation for your own enjoyment.
