Affordable Tooth Whitening

Almost everyone is obsessed over their smile. If not, then those whitening kits wouldn’t be doing so well. Their is something in those kits, though, that even I didn’t realize before now. This something can be purchased at a very affordable price, even possibly eliminating those whitening kits that have become so popular.
I recently figured this out, myself. Hoping I’m not the last person to figure this out, I want to share this little bit of information with my readers. This idea could possibly save you quite a bit of money per month on tooth bleaching products.
So what is it?
Hydrogen Peroxide.
I’ve always known it can bleach hair. But I was recently reading the bottle and wondering why it can be used as a “gargle or rinse”. I’d heard on TV that it can whiten teeth so I decided to give it a try. I used to smoke and I drink coffee. Those things that can turn teeth yellow, as mine have gradually done.
After one use I noticed a difference. Since I am only one person, I can’t guarantee it will work exactly like that for everyone. I can say it was noticeable to me.
So what should you do?
Going by what I found worked for me, and what I’ve learned from experience and what I’ve seen around on a small google search - these basic tips should help you out.
I think first and foremost I’d like to say I am not a dentist. However it even says you can use it as a “rinse” on the bottle so if you have difficulties from using hydrogen peroxide, sue them for saying you can. Any questions you have about using it should be asked to a dentist, I’m not the final word on this topic.
Step 1
You don’t need a lot of peroxide. Pour just enough into a cup for you to comfortably swoosh around in your mouth. While “swooshing” make sure you get it all around your teeth. Do this for at least 1 minute, or however long you feel comfortable. I do it for 2 minutes. Then spit it out and rinse out your mouth.
Step 2
You might notice a little sensitivity. That’s okay. As long as you make sure to take this next step. Brush your teeth with a fluoride tooth paste! This is very important. Brush your teeth like you normally would and rinse out your mouth. The fluoride will protect your teeth and the sensitive problem should be gone.
That’s it, you’re done. The peroxide bottle says you can use it up to 4 times a day. I used it 2 times a day. Use your judgment. In this world I don’t know many people that can go through brushing their teeth four times a day. The average day is a little too busy for that type of dedication.
I’d also like to mention that you may not notice the yellow leave your teeth instantly. I don’t always see it either. Give your teeth a half hour and go back and take a look in the mirror. Chances are the reduction of the yellow on your teeth will be more noticeable by that time.
