The design of a business card can be very important for a business. It’s not just an information card, it is something that needs to catch the eye of a potential customer. So what should a business card look like?

That depends on the business. An artsy business would want a very stylish, artistic business card to catch the eye of people interested in that. An very professional business or service would want a business card that reflects that.

So what should you have on your business card?

You’ll want the basic info. Your name, address, phone number, email and website address. You will also want a logo. If your business doesn’t have a logo, it’s time to get one. A logo is how people connect your name to a business.

Once you have what you want on it, then it’s time to choose the style and color of it. Look at your logo. Does it have a specific feel to it? Maybe it uses blues and white in it? You could always use a softer version of those colors, maybe even a little darker? Look at the company website? Styling a business card around the style of the website isn’t always a bad idea.

Most of all, my favorite phrase ever is K-I-S-S. Keep it simple stupid. If you don’t think what you’ve come up with will be received very well, do something a little more simple in style. Simple can be good.
