Celebrate your Valentines Day the single way!

Valentines day is sneaking up on us, whether we’re ready or not. If you’re one of the lucky (or unlucky, depending on how you look at it), hopefully you have your gifts, hugs, I love you’s, and plans prepared. However, if you’re single then you need a new set of plans.

For this Valentines day I have come up with a few ideas that are specific towards single men, single women and a little something for everyone.

Women

It believed by most that this is a holiday that weighs the most on women. We’re the ones who are supposed to get spoiled, right?

So what’s stopping you?

Spoil yourself and maybe a few friends too with an in-home spa day. This is the perfect time to make the holiday all about the singles. Hit the stores with your pals, shop around for different products to try, and buy them. Make the trip a real adventure and stop at a few extra shops to pick out something new for each of you. Buy yourself a rose, a new shirt, something that you can gift to yourself. If you and your friends drink, why not make yourselves some Margaritas to go with that gossip?

By the time you’ve pulled off the shopping and day filled with pampering, you’re going to be asking yourself, “Mr. Who?” After all, who needs Mr. Right to have a good Valentines day?

Men

Who said women should have all the fun? Valentines day can be just as fun, or depressing for you too. Right?

There’s no reason to pretend the day hasn’t happened, instead it’s the perfect excuse to get together with “the guys” and form your own plans! After all, if single women can enjoy their own personal spa day, why shouldn’t you find something enjoyable to do?

If calling the guys over to watch some man-flix (we all know that those action films were made for you) sounds too girly, why not get out of the house and do something else? This calls for a day of man stuff, you just need to pick your poison.

Have a thing for fishing? Get out there and try your hand. If the lake is frozen enough for a little ice fishing, what could it hurt? Get out your stuff and enjoy a little time out on the ice. If you’re a little more into basketball, football, or some other active sport, see if you can gather together enough friends for a small game. For those of you that might not mind a beer and a late night game of pool, head down to your local bar and shoot a few.

Once all is said and done, you’ll have enjoyed a day (or night) with some good friends.

A Little Fun For Everyone

You don’t need booze or friends to enjoy yourself. Stay in, grab a movie, and watch it. Maybe you can pop a little popcorn, have a good laugh and have fun without any plans or crowds. After all, if the holiday is about love, why not love yourself first?
