Valentines day is sneaking up on us, whether we’re ready or not. If you’re one of the lucky (or unlucky, depending on how you look at it), hopefully you have your gifts, hugs, I love you’s, and plans prepared. However, if you’re single then you need a new set of plans.

While some people use the month of December to brainstorm changes they’d like to make in the new year, others refuse to follow the trend. It’s just another year, what does it matter if you enter into it with hope for change?
Because the new year is the perfect time to consider acting on that change.
Okay, so any time is a good time to do something new in your life. Tomorrow might be a good time, or maybe next week. How about right now?
The new year has one …

Everyone always says that it is the thought that counts and they are right. No store bought gift will ever compare to something you’ve put time and effort into. If you are a talented individual, draw on that talent to create your own holiday gifts for friends and family!

Paint.
I used an example for the photo with this post, but it goes beyond standard painting. You could paint on something, for instance. Looking through your craft store, I bet you can find many wonderful little trinkets like …

I’ve always considering myself a crafty person. I enjoy knitting, painting, drawing, piecing together, and just about anything that can be formed into something beautiful. Unfortunately, love for a craft does not translate into talent. So when I see such amazing products being sold online and they are handmade, it intrigues me. In many cases, I find myself purchasing some of those wonderful items.
These things make wonderful gifts for all occasions!
If you’d like to support talented men and women from all over the world, buy handmade. …

Do you really need me to tell you about these toys? There is a good chance that the toys on this list have been mentioned by most children at least once. I will admit that I’ve cheated a little on my list. I don’t have a boy, so I had to go searching through other sources to find out what the boys want. However, I do have a little girl and those girl must-haves are genuine.

Kids between the ages of 3 and 8 years old …

Anything short of the best gift in the world ends up forgotten at some point. Rather than add to that list, here are some odd gifts that will definitely leave a lasting impression:

It’s Jesus’ Birthday and Santa is Bringing the Beer
Please do me a favor and do not give this to the highly religious practical joker in your life, it might not go as well as you’d like.
Even though this is just a card, it definitely offers a laugh or two when read. This is a great option …

Normally I would be writing up the next “Tip List” to feature but since I am taking Thanksgiving week off, I figured it would be a good moment for some personalized advice.
Please don’t attack me, I know we haven’t even made it to Thanksgiving yet and here I am with some Christmas chatter. I promise, it is worth reading.
It is never too early to start Christmas shopping.
My mom bought up all the 75% off after Christmas toys last year and she intends to give them out this year. …

I absolutely love Halloween, it is my favorite holiday. Each time it comes around, and I know I’ll be taking out my daughter to trick or treat, I put together my own little costume. I don’t buy something, I just piece it together on my own and see what I get – that’s just part of the fun of dressing up! In return, I’d like to share some of that passion with you by giving you some of your own DIY (Do It Yourself) costume ideas!
School Boy

I still was unable to get anything up yesterday due to personal circumstances, so here I am now. And I am going to stray from my simple topic for today and extend it into a very long gift idea list. That’s right. I’ll start with the simple, easy ideas and extend to more complex gifts. I even have a few ideas for those pets and children in your life. Just read on and see for yourself.

Not everyone has a significant other to celebrate valentines with, but that does not mean valentines day shouldn’t be enjoyed! So here are some tips for those that might find themselves single on this holiday and how they can make it a good day for themselves:

Spend this day with people you care about. You don’t have to be married or have a boyfriend/girlfriend to have people around you that you care about. Do something special with them. Go out to eat as a group, buy each …
