Beating A Cold
Lets be honest, tis the season for germs and people getting sick. I may not be a doctor, but I do have some ideas to help beat or avoid a cold.
- The first thing I’d recommend would be orange juice. If not orange juice, plain oranges or vitamin c drops (sold in the same area as cough drops) are also good. The vitamin c drops are more for if you’re already sick, but any of those are good for you when you’re feeling a bit under the weather.
- Hot soup is always good too (particularly chicken noodle). The warmth of the broth helps drain a nose when it’s starting to get stuffy.
- Last, but not least, drink plenty of water. It can help keep a dry throat moist and obviously will keep you hydrated. That is very important when you’re sick.
I’m not saying it’ll help everyone, but it can’t hurt to try. It doesn’t always help me either, but sometimes it can cut down how long I feel sick.
