Spooky Treats
With Halloween around the corner it’s time to consider some fun Halloween treats.
I think my favorite would have to be the rice crispy spiders. Mix together everything like you would to make rice crispy treats. In this case, though, add some black food coloring to the mix before adding the rice crispies.
Once you’ve got it all mixed together make them into little balls and slightly larger balls. Hopefully you can see where I’m going with this. The larger ball would be the body and the smaller ball would be a head for the spider. Of course, you can’t have a legless spider, so once you get it put together use black pipe cleaners [they can be found in the craft section of most stores] and bend them to make legs for your spider treat. Their should be 3 legs on each side of the body.
Place each spider on wax paper and let them cool, in the fridge preferably. Once it’s time for your party or just ready to snack, get them out and place them on a place for everyone to enjoy!
If you try this one out, please be sure to leave a comment and let me know how it goes for you. The first person to take a picture of their finished creation, if it came out well, I’ll use your image in this post with a link back to your website/blog!
