Teach Your Toddler How To Ride A Bike

Yesterday I wrote a short post at For The Mom’s on how I managed to teach my daughter how to ride a bike. I would like to reshare those tips here for everyone else.

  • Be Patient. You have to be patient. Losing your patience will not make it any easier on your or your child.
  • Wait For The Right Time. If it’s obvious your child is just not ready, then don’t push it. Put the bike aside for a short while and bring it out every so often and give it another shot. Sooner or later your child will catch on.
  • Lots Of Encouragement. The more exciting you make the task seem, the more likely your child will try. Remember, children just want to please you and have your attention.

When the time is right, your child will take to riding their bike like it’s no problem at all. Just wait and see!
