Are You Ready To Pop The Question?
If you’ve fallen in love, the possibility of marriage is something that is commonly considered. And their’s a lot of preparation that goes with it. But lets step back for a minute. How do you know the time is right?
Before you take the leap of considering to ask someone to marry you, you might want to consider how it feels the relationship is going. If you’ve had a rocky relationship, then this might not be the right time. Waiting until things even out and seems to be solid enough that you know it can and will last is the best choice.
Have you talked with your significant other about where you feel the relationship is going? Before you ask someone to marry you, make sure you both have future plans that somewhat agree with each other. It might not be a good time to consider marriage if the future plans each of you have would take you in different directions. A long term relationship is something you should discuss with your significant other. Don’t assume that you both have the same future plans and opinions.
Now, if you’re ready and determines to “pop the question”, by all means - do it! And no one knows your significant other better than you. But it really couldn’t hurt to get a second opinion from his/her friends or family about it first. Whomever they’re closest to. Especially if they’re someone that you get along with as well. Maybe they can help you a little with the preparation. Having someone else that cares for your significant other as much as you help you plan your proposal can be a huge benefit to you.
Most of all, good luck. The proposal and marriage can be such a special moment that you’ll want to remember that moment forever, just as much as your significant other will want to. Make it something that’s special to the both of you. Something that you’ll be telling people for years to come.
