Create Your Own Thanksgiving Games

Thanksgiving isn’t just about the food, it’s about the time spent with your family and friends. And to help you make your thanksgiving that much more special, I am going to share with you a fun thanksgiving game that you and your whole family can get in on.

What You’ll Need

  • Note Cards
  • Pens
  • Lined Paper
  • Thanksgiving Trivia Resources Included

You would probably want to set up for this game the night before so you’re ready when the time is right to start the game.

Thanksgiving Jeopardy

Step 1

Collect the trivia questions you plan to use for the game. Some resources I found that might help you out are listed below:

Hopefully those website will help you out.

Step 2

Once you’ve check out the ones you like the most, this is where you’ll get out your pen and note cards. On the unlined side write in money amounts. Much like how it looks on jeopardy. Unlike If you’d like to make categories, go ahead. It is about thanksgiving, though, so they’re not necessary. It doesn’t matter how many rows you have, but it’d probably work out easiest for you to make 5 rows with the money amounts going from $100 - $1000. Make sure you have enough cards and questions for however many rounds you plan on competing.

Step 3

This is where the lined paper comes in. You’ll want to set up a score. Their are a couple ways to go about this.

  1. Use one sheet and make columns on it. You’ll want one column section per team. When they answer a question correctly you’ll be adding on the amount they just one in their column, when they lose subtract the amount they lost.
  2. You can give a sheet of paper and pen to each team. That way they can keep track of their own scores.
  3. If you’re feeling lazy, give each team a calculator. Then all they’ll have to do is add or subtract their score the easy way.

And that’s it. You just might learn something new about the holiday while you celebrate it at the same time as well as the rest of your family and friends!
