Dressing For The Holidays

Dressing festive is one of many things about the holiday that many people enjoy. The problem is, many people want to dress festive without looking like they belong in the community of Whoville from “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas”. So how can you dress festively without going overboard?

  • Use the staple colors for the holiday wisely. You don’t have to put red and green together in one outfit. Split it up. A green shirt would look good with black, yet stay within the festive themes. If you’re female, their’s nothing wrong with a nice looking red dress. Red is sexy, and red is festive this time of year. You don’t have to make a Christmas statement to dress for the season
  • Limit your holiday jewelry and clothing. That santa sweater is probably a bit much. On the other hand, a little holiday pin or some other small item could add a bit holiday cheer.

If you limit both things, while still incorporating a bit of the Christmas theme from your everyday wear this month, you will come out looking festive yet good. Not like a human Christmas tree. Most of all, use your own judgment and stick to things that suit you. If red is not your color, you don’t have to wear it just because Christmas is approaching. Incorporate some other form of the holiday into your everyday wear instead.
