Preparing For A New Year Party

New Years Eve is this coming Monday, which means it is time to get stocked up on everything you’ll need for a party. Assuming you plan to throw one.

Step 1: Get your RSVP’s

Make sure you invite everyone in advance and get RSVP’s. That way you can plan ahead on how many supplies you’ll need.

Step 2: Figure out what food you plan to serve.

It’s not that easy to get everything around, so in advance plan out the food you plan to serve at your party and get the recipes all together. Any food that can be prepared in advance, do so. Only save the things that can’t be reheated for New Years Eve.

Get all the recipes all together if you need them, and make sure you have all your ingredients in advance.

Step 3: Buy Some cheap New Years hats, whistles, etc.

That stupid stuff actually makes the party. Since it’s a themed party for the new year, why not get some of that stuff for your guests? Make sure you’ll have enough for everyone.

Step 4: If their’s going to be an open bar, get the booze you’ll need.

If you plan to have an open bar, make sure you’ll have enough booze for everyone that you know likes to drink. If you’re worried about the cost, make it a party where if they plan to drink, they have to donate a 5th to the party. Or something along those lines.

Step 5: Have fun.

Make sure you’ll have enough room for your drunk friends to sleep, or that they’ll have a ride home. Enjoy yourself and have fun. You spent more than enough time planning, enjoy the fruits of your labor!
