A Complex List To Valentines Gifts

I still was unable to get anything up yesterday due to personal circumstances, so here I am now. And I am going to stray from my simple topic for today and extend it into a very long gift idea list. That’s right. I’ll start with the simple, easy ideas and extend to more complex gifts. I even have a few ideas for those pets and children in your life. Just read on and see for yourself.

Simple

Going simple is a great way to show you care without spending more money than you can afford. This works especially well for someone on a budget or someone who has many “valentines” they want to show they care. So what are some good simple ideas?

  • Valentines cards. This doesn’t mean you need to buy the kiddie cards that children give out at school. Go to the store and get a $4 or $5 thing of 6 or 8 cards. They’re not as big as the expensive cards, but they’re more than the cheapo kiddie cards. It shows you’re thinking of your friends and loved ones on valentines day without going into a money rut.
  • The single red rose. You don’t need to give everyone a dozen roses to say “I love you”. Go with the single red rose. If you have a dozen people to wish a happy valentines day to, get a dozen of roses from your local store and give each person a rose. You could even combine this with my card idea above. That’d make a very complete and thoughtful gift without stretching yourself too thin.
  • The crafty gift. Do you know any good valentines gift crafts? They’re a great idea. They’re generally affordable and give that personal touch that people love when they get a gift.
  • Give the gift of romance. If both of you have been busy lately, haven’t really seen each other, then maybe you could just give each other the gift of time together. Some private time where you both get to enjoy something that both of you enjoy.

Midway

So these are the ideas that fall between simple and complex. At the midway section, you’re bound to get a little more specific for whom you intend to give the gift to. Here you’ll see some ideas that are still reasonable, but they’re pricier than a simple card.

  • The classic dinner and a movie. Would it really hurt to have a nice night out with the person you love? Go out to a nice dinner at your favorite, hardly visited, restaurant and rent a movie you’d both like to see. I bet you thought I would say a movie theater, didn’t you? Well, the point is romance. How can you be romantic in a theater? So cuddle up on the couch at home and watch a good movie after your romantic dinner is over. If you want to cook, you could always have that dinner before the movie at home as well. That would all depend on the skills of the cook, though.
  • Some lingerie. You don’t have to go to expensive stores to get lingerie. Shop at your local store. They have some sexy lingerie during valentines at affordable prices for this exact reason. You probably wouldn’t want to do this, though, if the relationships isn’t that old. Use your judgment.

Complex

This is where the ideas will get pricey and work best for those that have money to burn. They’re definitely something to think about if this is your husband or wife. Something to help bring back some of that spark.

  • Go lingerie shopping together. Go to Victoria’s Secret together. Find something that you both like on her. This will be a gift for the both of you after all. Make it something special and something that you’ll enjoy wearing [or seeing her wear] that night.
  • A second honeymoon. Get a hotel room, a fancy one. Order all the good things any romantic evening should have. This is a great time to prepare yourself a second honeymoon to enjoy together. It’ll help liven up your relationship. Maybe mix this night together with my first idea in this section.
  • Take a cruise. If you haven’t had a vacation in a while, why not go on a cruise? They’re fun and exciting. Just be sure to do your research about each cruise and what they specialize in before you book it. Although considering how close valentines is now, you should probably worry more about next valentines day.

Pets

Now it’s time to think about your little animal friends. This’ll be mostly directed at cat and/or dog owners. But if you don’t have a valentine, their’s nothing wrong with showing your furry friend how much you love them!

  • Pet treats. Buy your animal some treats to enjoy. Something special that you know they’ll love.
  • Nothing is better than toys. If you’ve got a playful pet, then why not invest in a toy for your fuzzy friend? Toys keep your pet active and can help distract them from your furniture or other things they shouldn’t be touching.
  • Pet clothing. Of course if your pet is a small one, pet clothing can be very useful. And valentines is a good reason to buy your pet some.

Children

Children are easy to buy for. They’re generally easy to please. All the same, here are some ideas on what to get any child for valentines day.

  • Chocolate! How could I not say chocolate? All children love it. They sell cute little $1 boxes of 4 little chocolates at wal-mart. They’re a great option for a cheap little gift that your child will enjoy.
  • Rent a movie your child has been wanting to see. Turn it into family time, even! Sit and enjoy a movie together as a family. A movie that maybe your child has been asking to see. If you have more than one, take turns with movies they want to see or pick one they all want to see.

I hope you all have a wonderful valentines day and I hope my ideas helped spark some ideas of your own!
