Links That Freelance Writers Will Love
Freelance writers know the importance of good resources. Whether it’s for a writing job or a source they can use to find other good resources for an article they may be working on. Since I’ve started Ask Angel, I’ve long since learned how important it can be to find all those great reusable resources that I can go to again and again when I need a good link to answer a question or some information before I write a post. So today’s advice article is dedicated to different links that can be found useful by a freelance writer just starting out.
So what are some of these websites? They’re listed below:
- Mediabistro: this website is a good haven for the freelance writer looking for inspiration [the news feed available] right down to the freelance marketplace. The marketplace offers freelance writers a chance to list their experience so that anyone looking for someone can scan through the profile intros and see if anyone listed would fit their own criteria as a writer.
- Writers Weekly: They’re a weekly ezine specialized in sharing information with freelance writers that are subscribed. They’re specifically for freelance writers and offer interesting topics as well as available paying markets and jobs. All fresh each week. If you’re looking for work, you’ll probably enjoy this ezine very much.
- JournalismJobs.com: If you’re looking for a job, this is a place where you can post your resume to be found by someone who is looking to hire. If you’re in need of a new writing job, it couldn’t hurt to try listing yourself and show off your experience.
- Sunoasis Jobs: This is a good start to finding a job. You can find listings of available jobs that you can inquire about if you’re interested in what they’re looking for. Going this route is a bit more proactive because you are going out there and looking, not waiting to be found.
- Worldwide Freelance Writer: It doesn’t matter if you’re new to freelance writing, or experienced. This is a good resource for both kinds of writers. Freelance writers can get the help they need or dip their feet into the waters by searching through some available jobs.
- Writing For Dollars: This is another good ezine for any freelance writer to subscribe too. With information related to freelance writing, advice and more, it’s worth subscribing to for the read. From what I can tell this ezine is not a weekly one, so you don’t have to worry about getting bogged down with them.
- The Burry Man Writers Center: This may be my last link I have to share in this article, but it’s not the least. At this website you can find a complex list of resources that you may find useful as time goes on and you gain more experience in freelance writing, or help you get started.
Often enough people tend to think that being a freelance writer would be so easy. It’s not. Their are many steps included with the position of writer. Time is money and each second counts. A good resource can help you make the best use of that time and I hope the links above do just that.
