Partnership Facts

There’s a limited partnership and a regular partnership when we talk about this. So unless I specify one way, this fact list is going to be about the average partnership. Here is my compiled list of facts about partnerships:

  • A partnership is simply a business that has more than one owner, and is not filed as a corporation or LLC.
  • There are 2 types of partnership; limited and general partnership.
  • This is the simplest and cheapest co-owned business structure type to operate. So if you’re looking to bring someone in on your business venture, it might be a good option.
  • Like a sole proprietor, each partner is individually reliable for the business. In a limited partnership, they’re not. That might be worth keeping in mind before you do go into a partnership.
  • On the other hand, some partners may have limited liability, especially if they were just an investor. All that is lost there would be the investment. Look into it more thoroughly before taking this step. It’s important to know what you and your partners may be entering into.

I hope our quick list was some help. If you’d like to know more, check out these great resources:

S Corporation Facts

As you may have noticed we have a fact list for a few other business types, but we have not talked about a S Corporation; until now.

Not that long ago, it was one of the more popular businesses to start, since replaced by LLC’s (Limited Liability Company). There are still many benefits to an S Corp which would include:

Money Tips For Kids

The best education on how to handle money starts at home. Children tend to learn by watching their parents, but there are extra things that you can do to help your kids better grasp onto the concept of money and how to handle it.

1. Allowance

Teach them the benefits and consequences of money by using allowance as the basis. When they want that certain pair of shoes that they don’t need, tell them to save up for it. It’s a great jumping off point for teaching responsibility and showing them the benefits from saving what they earn.

If you have an older child and want to take it to the next step, have them set up a savings account where they can place their money to save. Especially if they have a goal they’re hoping to reach. It’s a great way to teach responsibility.

Car Insurance Care

It can generally feel like a useless expense, but in reality it’s not. Car insurance is what protects you in case of an accident. Whether you’re found to be at fault, or the other person is.

The cost of car insurance will vary with the state you live in. If you happen to be in a no-fault state, the price of car insurance will be much higher than it would be in a state that doesn’t have that. It is, however, making it more cost effective to shop online for auto insurance rather than at brick and mortar local insurance carriers.

Before you start shopping consider looking for an auto insurance quote before you purchase insurance. This will help you find the best rate for your area, online and offline.

What Are Keystone Jacks?

In an attempt to gather information on keystone jacks, to find out exactly what they do, I came up with many sales sites and not much info to explain it. What I did found is pretty simple and I’ll break it down for you:

Just like the average jack, a keystone Jack is mounted in a wall plate or patch panel, but these are generally used for LAN (Local Area Network) connections.

They also come in a variety of sizes such as the Cat5e Keystone jack, or the Cat 6. Beyond that, if you’re finding yourself needing one of these jacks and no idea what they are, you might want to contact someone who does have this knowledge and can help you out.

What Causes Acne?

There are a few reasons for the cause of acne. Sometimes it can be as simple as clogged pores, it’s very common among those with oily skin. Just simply taking care to wash your face or any other acne inflicted area could potentially fix that problem. Or you can purchase an over the counter style acne treatment.

Sometimes acne isn’t just a simple problem of that sort, it can actually be a form of infection. The infection induced acne is pretty obvious. Sometimes it can get so bad that it can be classified as a boil, which could potentially mean having to visit a doctor to get it taken care of. The worst case ones may potentially need “lanced”. If you are worried about anything of that sort, please don’t hesitate to see a professional about it. They will have more information for you. A professional can also give you information on how to prevent it in the future.

Define: Equestrian

I am a huge fan of words. I love all those unusual, unlikely words that can be found in the English language. Equestrian is not a strange word to those that live with horses, but to everyone else that don’t live their life in that world; it may seem strange.

What is Equestrian?

If you go by the dictionary it says the definition is:

“of or pertaining to horseback riding or horseback riders”

If you are an equestrian, then of course you already know all of this. What you might not know is where you can find some good equestrian clothing, and other gear. If you happen to be one of the unlucky people who has no access to a store in your area, try doing a search online. From specialty stores to auction websites, it shouldn’t be too hard to find that something you are looking for.

If you want to become an equestrian, then simply get on that horse and enjoy a good horseback ride. After all, it’s never too late to enjoy the fine love of horses.

Sole Proprietorship Facts

I am a sole proprietor when I file taxes. So I do understand a few of these things. All the same I made sure to look up information from different sources and bring them to you in one place. So I hope you enjoy this quick fact list and I hope it brings to light any questions you might have before you take on becoming a sole proprietor.

  • If you are liable to pay self employment tax you will have to fill out a Schedule SE. Some other important forms include the 1040, and Schedule C. Those are available on the IRS website.
  • The sole proprietorship is the simplest form of business although it’s not always the best one. That is something that you should determine on your own. I prefer it, but that doesn’t mean it is the right option for you.
  • The financial risk is greater because if someone goes after your ‘business’ they are going after you as a person.
  • When you die, the business dies. Because it is a sole proprietorship, if you are not alive anymore the business can not be passed on. It would have to be restarted by someone else.
  • A sole proprietor can have employees and can carry on with most types of business.
